Zoohistorica 2024 will be taking place in Dublin on the weekend of
6/7/8th September. Dublin Zoo, the world's fourth-oldest zoo in the
historic Phoenix Park, will be hosting the Saturday meeting, and our
sister site, Fota Wildlife Park in County Cork, will be welcoming us on
the Sunday.
Die Zoohistorica 2024 findet am Wochenende vom 6./7./8. September in
Dublin statt. Der Dubliner Zoo, der viertälteste Zoo der Welt im
historischen Phoenix Park, wird Gastgeber des Treffens am Samstag sein,
und unser Schwesterzoo, Fota Wildlife Park in der Grafschaft Cork, wird
uns am Sonntag begrüßen.

people tick this option at registration)
10:30 Fota Wildlife Park, guided tour
ca. 17:00 Arrive back in Dublin (depending on transport)

10:30 Uhr Geführter Rundgang durch Fota Wildlife Park

Participation fee / Teilnahmegebühren The
participation fee will be €50 per person, which will include entry to
Dublin Zoo, as well as lunch and dinner at the Zoo. Fees will be
collected in cash upon arrival on Saturday. Travel and entry to Fota
Wildlife Park will have to be paid separately (see registration for more
detail). Die
Teilnahme kostet €50 pro Person. Darin enthalten sind der Eintrittspreis
in den Zoo Dublin, sowie Mittag- und Abendessen im Zoorestaurant.
Vorkasse ist nicht nötig, bezahlt wird in bar am Samstag. Reisekosten
und Eintritt in den Fota Wildlife Park müssen separat bezahlt werden (siehe
Anmeldung für zusätzliche Informationen).
Accommodation / Übernachtung
Accommodation in Dublin is expensive, and even more so in the city
centre in proximity to Dublin Zoo. However, particularly if you do not
have your own transport, we would not recommend staying too far away
from the centre, as public transport on weekends is infrequent, taxis
are scarce, and traffic can be heavy.
We suggest the following hotels, all within a reasonable distance to the
Zoo:
Übernachtungen in Dublin sind teuer, vor allem im Stadtzentrum in der
Nähe des Zoos. Trotzdem empfehlen wir, insbesondere wenn Ihr über kein
eigenes Transportmittel verfügt, Euch nicht zu weit vom Zentrum entfernt
einzuquartieren, da die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel an Wochenenden
seltener verkehren, Taxis rar sind und der Verkehr katastrophal sein
kann.

On the plus side, Dublin should be easy and relatively cheap to get to
for most of you, as our ‘national’ airlines, Ryanair and Air Lingus, fly
to/from most larger and smaller airports in Europe.
